About the Guest:

Katelyn Zeamer was born and raised on a small hobby farm in De Pere, Wisconsin. She spent her youth showing dairy cattle at the county and state level as well as swine at the county level. Her interest in agriculture was sparked through her involvement in these projects in conjunction with her involvement in 4-H and FFA. She received her BS in Animal Science from the University of Wisconsin- River Falls in December 2017. Katelyn continued her education at South Dakota State University where she earned her MS in December 2019. Her Master’s thesis was focused in Swine Nutrition advised by Dr. Crystal Levesque. The start of her career went down a curvy road, starting out as a Lecturer at Iowa State University, followed by being a Nutrition Specialist at Lynch Family Companies Spillville Feed Mill. Now she works as a Swine Technical Sales Specialist and Formulator for Purina Animal Nutrition. Outside of work, Katelyn enjoys sharing her talents with the community as part of the Winneshiek County 4-H Endowment Committee, part of the Coffee and Careers committee, a National Chapter Consultant for Sigma Alpha Sorority and an active alumna with the Sigma Alpha chapter at UWRF. Katelyn currently resides in Ossian Iowa, and in her free time enjoys exploring the bluffs of northeast Iowa with her golden retriever Scout, working out, reading, and gardening.
